Staple

Staple Underfloor Heating System

The staple underfloor heating system is an easy to install, cost-effective system, laid within a screed. Fix the pipework to the insulation using barbed staples, allowing maneuverability, enabling more flexibility when working with irregularly shaped areas. Screed systems boost heat outputs of over 100W/m² making them the ideal partner for areas where height isn’t an issue.

We can provide staples in 40mm, 50mm & 57mm. Many underfloor heating suppliers universally use the same staples and therefore they fit into most staple guns.

It is best practice to lay a minimum 500 gauge polythene sheet over the insulation prior to laying the pipe down. The polythene sheet should be overlapped by a minimum of 80mm and taped at each joint.

Floor Coverings

wood and laminates

Wood Flooring

Wood and laminate flooring can be laid directly on to the screed systems, along with an underfloor heating suitable underlay. You should always consult the flooring manufacturer to ensure the wood floor is suitable with underfloor heating. The wood floor should not exceed 27°C

tiles

Tile Flooring

Tiles can be laid directly on to screed using a flexible tile adhesive. We strongly advise the use of a decoupling membrane, this will help prevent cracks and also provide a separation layer should you want to change the tiles in the future.

LVT and Vinyl

LVT/Vinyl Flooring

LVT / Vinyl need to have a flat surface to lay on. It is recommended to speak directly with the manufacturer to ascertain any pre-existing requirements prior to installing LVT or Vinyl. The vinyl floor should not exceed 27°C.

carpet

Carpet Flooring

Carpet floors require a flat surface to lay to and a underfloor heating suitable underlay should be used to avoid restricting the heat from passing through into the the space above
