16mm PE-RT pipe floating foil board underfloor heating

Lo-Float

Lo-Float Underfloor Heating System

HydroHeats Lo-Float system is a 35mm complete system, 25mm insulation with a 10mm self-levelling compound over the top. Providing high heat outputs, the heat transfers from the pipes into the self-levelling compound which evenly distributes the heat across the entire area. Because the self leveller provides a flat level surface any floor covering can be laid straight on top. The insulation we supply is high-density XPS insulation. The panels are rated at 300 kPa and is able to take a large force impact without any damage per M².
We recommend using Tilemaster Adhesives Flexi Level for the self-levelling compound, but if you chose to source your own self-levelling compound then please ask one of the team to send you the specification.

Floor Coverings

wood and laminates

Wood Flooring

Wood and laminate flooring can be laid directly on to the Lo-Float system, along with an underfloor heating suitable underlay. You should always consult the flooring manufacturer to ensure the wood floor is suitable with underfloor heating. The wood floor should not exceed 27°C

tiles

Tile Flooring

Tiles can be laid directly on to Lo-Float using a flexible tile adhesive. We strongly advise the use of a decoupling membrane, this will help prevent cracks and also provide a separation layer should you want to change the tiles in the future.

LVT and Vinyl

LVT/Vinyl Flooring

LVT / Vinyl need to have a flat surface to lay on. It is recommended to speak directly with the manufacturer to ascertain the depth of self-levelling compound required prior to installing LVT or Vinyl. The vinyl floor should not exceed 27°C.

carpet

Carpet Flooring

Carpet floors can be laid directly to the system, using an underfloor heating suitable underlay. Carpets and underlay combined should be under 2.5tog.

The Lo-Float system is suitable to install in the following patterns
