12mm PE-RT pipe Lo-Screed underfloor heating

Lo-Screed

Lo-Screed Underfloor Heating System

Lo-Screed underfloor heating brings the low build-up benefits of Lo-Board along with the high heat outputs and ease of installation HydroHeat Clip-Plate offers. This system uses a Hydro-Lo 10+ Clip Plate to accommodate 10 or 12mm pipe before your layer of self-levelling compound is added. The self-levelling compound relies on thermal conductivity to disperse the heat to the floor finish. The panels are 16mm tall when laid flat and laid on a flat surface. If the floor is not flat, it will require levelling prior to installation. Supplied with a heavy-duty adhesive backing which will grab any dry area that is free of dirt and debris. Pour the self-levelling compound to 20mm thick for tiled and carpeted floors and 24mm for wood and vinyl floors. We provide Tilemaster Flexi-level, which is provided in 25Kg bags. Just add water and mix. Lo-Screed quotes will always have the self-leveller as an optional extra in case you would like to purchase it elsewhere.

Floor Coverings

wood and laminates

Wood Flooring

Wood and laminate flooring can be laid directly on to the Lo-Screed system, along with an underfloor heating suitable underlay. You should always consult the flooring manufacturer to ensure the wood floor is suitable with underfloor heating. The wood floor should not exceed 27°C.
A minimum 24mm depth of self-levelling compound for wood flooring.

tiles

Tile Flooring

Tiles can be laid directly on to Lo-Screed using a flexible tile adhesive. We strongly advise the use of a decoupling membrane. This will help prevent cracks and also provide a separation layer should you want to change the tiles in the future.

LVT and Vinyl

LVT/Vinyl Flooring

LVT / Vinyl needs to have a flat surface to lie on. We recommend to speak with the manufacturer to find out the depth of self-levelling compound required prior to installing LVT or Vinyl. The vinyl floor should not exceed 27°C.

carpet

Carpet Flooring

Carpet floors require a flat surface to lie to, purely so the customer doesn’t feel the channels below their feet. The self-levelling compound can be poured to the minimum depth possible with your chosen self-levelling compound.
