Case Study – Green Field Farm

About The Project

Green Fields Farm

In a picturesque part of Darwen, this stunning semi-detached property went through a complete ground floor renovation. The customer opted for our Clip-Plate system for its ease and speed of installation. After the installer had finished, HydroHeat went back to the property to finish the commissioning and spoke to the customer, who was so far thrilled with the service from both HydroHeat and the installer.

Clip-Plate is a fast and effective method of laying underfloor heating within a screed floor. The pre-made pipe spacings allow for reduced installation times and also act as protection from site traffic whilst the screed is being laid. This system also allows for the pipe to be installed onto a surface that cannot accommodate staples due to minimal insulation heights.

Clip-Plate, once interlocked with each other, create a membrane removing the need for DPM over the insulation.

Can quiet easily be installed by a single engineer with a pipe de-coiler and a good knowledge of underfloor heating.

We can provide staples in 40mm, 50mm & 57mm. Many underfloor heating suppliers universally use the same staples and therefore they fit into most staple guns.

It is best practice to lay a minimum 500 gauge polythene sheet over the insulation prior to laying the pipe down. The polythene sheet should be overlapped by a minimum of 80mm and taped at each joint.
